FUQUA'S EXECUTIVE MBA PROGRAMS RANKED NO. 3 IN THE WORLD BY THE FINANCIAL TIMES

DURHAM, N.C. - The Fuqua School of Business' Executive MBA programs have risen to No. 3 in the world by the Financial Times - up from their No. 6 ranking in 2002.

In its third annual ranking of executive MBA programs, the prestigious newspaper notes that the past five years have seen a proliferation of executive MBA programs, particularly those that have a global emphasis. The ranking has grown from 50 to 75 schools, with many schools eligible for participation for the first time. Two out of the three top slots were taken by global programs, with Fuqua's Global Executive program being in the third slot. Wharton's executive MBA program and University of Chicago's global program were ranked one and two, respectively.

The newspaper states that Fuqua's Global Executive program moved up due to "a powerful showing in the international course experience criteria, which measures the international content of the program through the number of course hours completed inside the home country."

They also state that Fuqua, as well as Chicago, were helped by the high salaries earned today by alumni who graduated three years ago. Of all the schools in the survey, Fuqua was one of only two that topped the $200,000 mark in this criterion this year.
