THE FUQUA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS WELCOMES NEW FACULTY

Duke University's Fuqua School of Business welcomes new faculty members to areas of accounting, economics, finance and operations management.

Fernando Bernstein, assistant professor of business administration comes from Columbia University where he is working towards his Ph.D. Professor Bernstein is from Argentina and is working in operations management area.

Qi Chen, assistant professor of business administration, joins us from the University of Chicago where he is currently earning his Ph.D. A native of China, Professor Chen, joins Fuqua's accounting area.

Francesca Cornelli, associate professor of business administration, received her Ph.D. from Harvard University. Professor Cornelli was born in Italy. Most recently she was on leave from the London Business School to serve as visiting assistant professor at The Wharton School last year. At Fuqua she joins the finance area.

Gregory A. DeCroix, associate professor of business administration, has been a visiting associate professor at Fuqua for two years and is now a tenure-track faculty member in operations management. Professor DeCroix received his Ph.D. at Stanford.

Giuseppe Lopomo (otherwise known as Pino), assistant professor of business administration joins us after five years of work at the Stern School of Business. Professor Lopomo is from Italy and received his Ph.D. at Stanford. He joins the Economics area.

Michael B. Mikhail, assistant professor of business administration, joins us from MIT. He completed his Ph.D. in 1999 at the University of Chicago. He is in our Accounting area.

Patricia H. Thornton, Associate Professor of the Practice of Business Administration, comes from the Department of Sociology at Duke University. She received her Ph.D. at Stanford and her area is management.
