The R. David Thomas Center image

The R. David Thomas Center opened in 1989 and was named in honor of the late Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's International, Inc. As part of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, the Thomas Center provides state-of-the-art meeting space as well as contemporary accommodations, and modern comforts.

Located near the Research Triangle Park, the Thomas Center offers 113 guestrooms and over 15,000 square feet of meeting space, with additional space at the adjacent business school facilities. Our resources are complemented by professional conference planners and an attentive staff. A delicious meal in our Executive Dining Room or a round of golf on Duke University’s magnificent championship golf course will enhance your meeting experience.

Duke University and The Fuqua School of Business
Established in 1924, Duke University is one of the world’s premiere research universities. Today, Duke consists of two undergraduate institutions, seven graduate and professional schools, a world-renowned medical center, and a 7,900 acre garden.

Duke’s Fuqua School of Business is among the youngest of America’s top-tier business schools, and has been on a constant upward trajectory since it’s founding less than four decades ago.  Since 1969 it has grown from a small program of a dozen students to one of the world’s best business schools. The Fuqua School of Business offers two graduate degrees: the Ph D and the MBA, and The Duke MBA is offered in two formats: The Duke MBA–Daytime (fulltime), and The Duke Executive MBA.
