Meeting Facilities

The R. David Thomas Center and Duke University's Fuqua School of Business offer state-of the-art meeting facilities. Our professional conference planners will customize an all-inclusive meeting package for your program. All meeting spaces are equipped with computers, wireless internet, and have video-conferencing capabilities. We can accommodate groups of six to sixty-five, and the adjacent Fuqua School of Business has room for up to 450 people.

Conference Rooms: The R. David Thomas Center

The Executive and GlaxoWellcome Classrooms are identical 1,764 square foot meeting spaces with fixed u-shape tables and moveable ergonomic chairs. Each class room features a private break area, built-in AV and a rear projection booth. These rooms seat up to sixty-five participants each.

The BellSouth Classroom offers 1,140 square feet of flat meeting space. Moveable ergonomic furnishings offer flexibility in room design. Private break area and built-in AV promote focused learning. The room seats up to thirty-six guests in a classroom style or up to twenty-five u-shape.

The University Room is a 1,156 square feet flat event space ideal for meetings or intimate social functions. A built-in LCD projector and mobile AV offer flexibility, and windows provide natural light.

Six private lounges and one boardroom offer 350 to 441 square feet of boardroom-style seating for up to sixteen people. The rooms have computers, large flat-screen monitors, and floor- to-ceiling windows for natural lighting.

The Thomas Center offers our clients the ultimate flexibility in meeting planning and implementation with a total of twenty breakout rooms available for up to eight people each.

Our private meeting spaces for smaller group break-out sessions are each fully equipped with a computer, laser printer, whiteboard, mimio board, flipchart, and telephone.

Conference Rooms: The Fuqua School of Busines

Geneen Classroom - Fuqua Geneen Auditorium is a 450-seat amphitheater offering classroom-style seating in the lower 125 seats, and auditorium seating in the upper rows for 325. The space features built-in AV as well as a rear AV booth.

Winter Garden - Fuqua The Winter Garden is a two-story open atrium area featuring a skylights, indoor trees, and casual furnishings. The space is ideal for food and beverage functions, trade shows, and other special events.

Faculty Hall is a sophisticated yet casual lounge area ideal for food and beverage functions of up to one hundred people.

Seven 1,700 square foot classrooms offer seating for 64 guests each. Fixed u-shape tables and moveable leather chairs, as well as built-in AV are available in each.
