The Fuqua School of Business provides students with the opportunity to internationalize their MBA experience by participating in a GATE (Global Academic Travel Experience) Program course. A GATE Program course is an elective course which incorporates classroom and experiential study about the business and culture of a particular country or region of the world.
GATE courses meet for a term preceding a 12 - 14 day visit to the country or region being studied. During the classroom component of GATE courses, students study the business environment and culture of a particular area of the world. The trip component includes visits to both multinational and local companies and governmental organizations, as well as sites of cultural interest in the country or countries to be studied.
