STRATEGY 841 - Strategy Implementation
The key to a successful strategy is the ability of the firm to create, capture, and deliver value. Delivering value is fundamentally about the successful implementation of strategic plans. This course will integrate concepts from the core strategic management class and focus on the methods managers employ to execute strategies. Topics covered in the course will include strategy, structure, organizational change, strategic renewal and failure, incentives, and processes. The course will explore these issues through the development and application of frameworks found in readings and lectures and applied to case studies. This course will be useful for those students wishing to extend their knowledge of the core strategic management course materials and develop skills useful to strategic execution and management consulting.
