The Duke MBA – Weekend Executive

Managers preparing for a rapidly changing, globally competitive business environment while catapulting their careers.

For 20 intense months, you will strengthen core business skills, be exposed to different perspectives on current business issues and build a strong network of peers. Study and work on teams with other leaders with an average of 10 years of work experience.

Beginning in March, you attend classes all day Friday until 5:30 pm and Saturday until 3pm on Duke’s campus on alternating weekends. Friday night stays are included in the tuition and are considered part of the weekend residency. The program consists of three required classes during each of the first four terms and six short elective courses in the fifth term.

The Duke MBA – Weekend Executive offers an optional concentration in Health Sector Management for students seeking to enhance their degree with specialized training in the business of health care.

Weekend Executive students receive both software tools and support. The distributed learning environment allows students to access online course materials, collaborate on team assignments, extend classroom discussions electronically, access library resources and communicate with faculty, staff and fellow students from their home or other remote locations.

Weekend Executive students have the opportunity to enhance their academic learning by participating in an elective International Management Study course. In this course, you gain hands-on experience as you travel to different countries to visit businesses, meet corporate executives and examine country-specific issues such as anti-trust and financial markets.
