On Monday, August 31, 2009, Dean Blair Sheppard, Deputy Dean Bill Boulding, and President Richard Brodhead helped officially kick off one of Fuqua's newest and most innovative programs - Master of Management Studies: Foundations of Business (MMS: FoB). This pre-experience master's degree provides fundamental business knowledge and skills to position its students to obtain higher level analyst positions and then move faster along their career trajectories.

The MMS: FoB Class of 2010 consists of 99 amazing individuals who represent a wide range of academic backgrounds. In addition to strong representation from Duke University, our students come from over 30 different institutions such as Tsinghua University, American University of Beirut, Harvard University, and UC Santa Barbara, to name just a few. Hailing from nations outside of the U.S. such as China, India, and Turkey, this class consists of entrepreneurs, varsity athletes, a lawyer and even an Olympic hopeful.

In other words, these individuals continue the longstanding Fuqua tradition of student excellence, diversity, and uniqueness. One of the most exciting aspects of this program is that the students, faculty, and staff will be pioneers in shaping this program, which will serve as a teaching model for other top-tier business schools.

Please join us in welcoming this inaugural class to Team Fuqua!
