Find Top Talent at Spring Recruiting Events

March 15, 2011

The career support that alumni have provided students and fellow alumni throughout the past year has been absolutely invaluable.  As we approach the end of the school year, the Fuqua career services team thanks you and respectfully asks for your assistance once again.  We are spearheading several recruiting initiatives designed to create new employment opportunities for students and would appreciate any assistance that you can offer. If your company is looking for talent at any level, the following are great opportunities to connect with students:

Duke University Just-in-Time Career Fair
The Just-in-Time Fair allows companies to identify quality candidates for full-time and internship opportunities from undergraduate and graduate programs throughout Duke University. The fair will take place on Tuesday, April 12, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Fuqua School of Business.  Contact Malcom Riley at mriley22@duke.edu for more information.

MBA Virtual International Career Fair
The MBA Virtual International Career Fair features six top-tier MBA schools collaborating to help companies identify exceptional non-U.S. based talent. This event allows organizations to post positions, chat live with candidates, and conduct interviews using a flexible schedule. The fair runs from March 28 - April 28, 2011. Contact LaDonna Lindstedt at ladonna.lindstedt@duke.edu for more information.

Duke MBA Gateway Initiative
The Duke MBA Gateway Initiative (The Duke MGI) is a program developed to help small and mid-sized organizations secure Duke MBA talent during the upcoming summer to complete project work that they simply don't have the time or resources to address.  We help you connect with our MBA students, you select your favorite candidate(s), and for 8-10 weeks you will have the services of a highly-skilled MBA professional for a fraction of the market rate.   Contact the Duke MGI team at The-Duke-MGI@fuqua.duke.edu for more information.

MMS Summer Interns
In Fall 2009, Fuqua launched its Master of Management Studies (MMS) program, a one-year, pre-experience master's degree that allows technical and liberal arts undergraduates to cultivate the concrete skills needed to succeed in entry-level business positions.

This summer, we encourage you to consider hiring an MMS student for an unpaid, 6-8 week entry-level internship from mid-May through mid-July. Contact Angela Eberts at ae48@duke.edu for more information.

The Day in the Bay - West Coast MBA Interview Forum
The West Coast MBA Interview Forum is an invite-only interview forum that will take place in San Francisco on Friday, April  1, 2011.  This event is a collaboration of 11 top-tier MBA schools with exceptional talent.  Contact LaDonna Lindstedt at ladonna.lindstedt@duke.edu for more information.
