Happy Birthday!
May 18, 2011
Each month, FuquaNet recognizes the alumni whose birthdays fall on the issue's publication date. We asked the alumni celebrating a birthday today (May 19), "Where are you now?" Here's what they said:

I moved to Seattle upon graduation (I am still here) and currently run a business and intellectual property law firm called VeriTrademark, which I started in 2004.
Carolie Burroughs, Daytime MBA 1998
I currently live in the Philadelphia area. After ten years as an equity portfolio manager, I founded West End Avenue Advisors LLC. Under the West End Avenue Advisors LLC umbrella, I provide portfolio management expertise and independent research and analysis of REITs and real estate-related securities, and other tangible asset-based securities. I am also building a track record in a strategy focused on all real estate-related and tangible asset-based securities.

Today, I am Director in Global Business Services, the post-trading division of Deutsche Bank's Investment Banking and Transaction Bank. I am responsible for laying out strategies that contribute effectively to Deutsche Bank's bottom line challenge.
Mei Su, Daytime MBA 2007
I am Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray covering China healthcare companies. I'm based in San Francisco.
Fiza Tai, Daytime MBA 2006
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and recently started working for a loyalty marketing company.

I am now a Professor of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. My research areas include software security, testing, and reliability and agile software development. I welcome collaboration with Duke alumni for research or consulting in any of these areas.
