Happy Birthday!
December 14, 2011
Each month, FuquaNet recognizes the alumni whose birthdays fall on the issue's publication date. We asked the alumni celebrating a birthday today (December 15), "Where are you now?" Here's what they said:
Carolyn (Cooney) Bartholdson, Daytime MBA '96
I am living in Manhattan with my husband and three young children. In October, I began working at a new company (QBE) in a new functional area (HR). I am happy to celebrate my birthday virtually with my classmate, Hilary.
Elizabeth Chambers, Daytime MBA '91
I'm currently in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, working for the U.S. Agency for International Development. In addition to traveling around the region, I just completed a 100K bike ride and a half marathon around Angkor Wat. I would love to catch up with anyone passing through Phnom Penh. I will be headed to Juba, South Sudan, next summer.
Rajesh Ghai, Weekend Executive MBA'06
I am at ThinkEquity in San Francisco, CA, working as a Managing Director in Equity Research.
Roxanna Goudarzi, MMS '10
I am living in Wilmington, NC, working as marketing coordinator at The Queensboro Shirt Company, and singing at local events as often as possible!
Felipe Ospina, Daytime MBA '05
I pursued my dream of becoming a commercial pilot and now fly for AviancaTaca, one of Latin America's largest airlines. I am also active in different business ventures, including serving on the advisory committee of a regional telecommunications company. I currently reside in Bogota, Colombia.
Renee Russell, Daytime MBA '93
I am currently Executive Director, Change Management for Avon Products Inc.'s Service Model Transformation. Now that we have completed the visioning, design and blueprinting phases of the project, I will be moving on to a new and hopefully exciting role TBD in January 2012.
Karthik Kumar Udayakumar, Daytime MBA '03
After 10 years in the U.S., and three additions to the family, we moved back home to Bangalore, India, earlier in the summer. The transition has been fun and challenging at same time.
