Fuqua's $100 Million Goal in the Duke Forward Campaign

At the end of September, the university launched Duke Forward, a university-wide campaign aimed at giving Duke's talented students and faculty opportunities to advance ideas, make new connections, and blaze new paths in both research and education. This campaign is of critical importance to Fuqua as we strive to become a truly great global business school by providing the insights and preparing the leaders of consequence the world needs. This is not a campaign about facilities and buildings. Rather, it is a campaign to support the people, ideas, innovation, and excellence that will help us tackle the enormous societal challenges we face. Our institution aspires to greatness because it means that our people and ideas have even greater influence in making a positive difference in the world.
It is only appropriate that the goal of the capital campaign for the business school is similarly ambitious. We are a young business school, and as a result our peers, both ahead and behind us in external rank, have consistently outperformed us in fundraising. However, our graduates have arrived in leadership roles in every sense of the word and no longer have a "young" profile with respect to their level of accomplishment. Consequently, Fuqua has set a target of $100 million for our goal in the campaign.
At the time of the campaign launch and thanks to the remarkable support of leaders in the Fuqua community, Fuqua had already raised $36.5 million toward that goal, and we are poised to continue that momentum. This commitment shows something important—our alumni and extended network of friends believe in our people and our mission. They believe we have the right faculty, students, staff and alumni network to make a difference in the world. Because of the assets and ethos already in place, our supporters envision the potential for even greater positive world impact achieved through an investment in our future.

Tell us how a Fuqua education and a world-wide network of alumni have helped you move forward. You also build our momentum by assisting the school in the ways you always have—sending us outstanding prospective students, volunteering for the school, advocating for hiring Fuqua candidates within your companies, and supporting the school financially through the Fuqua Annual Fund. Your commitment to the school makes an enormous difference in moving us forward!
