The Kellogg School of Management invites Fuqua alumni in Chicago to their upcoming speed networking night Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 5:30pm-8:00pm presented by Karie Davis, Kellogg Alumni Career Services, and Linda Balkin, ARC Leadership Associates. The group will spend: ~ 30 minutes crafting your elevator pitch ~ 60 minutes speed networking ~ 60 minutes informal networking Bring 15 business cards and a sense of humor. Cost: $25 includes appetizers and drinks.

Chicago: Mobile Food Pantry

Description
Alumni in Chicago are invited to volunteer their time for the Mobile Food Pantry. Schedule of Events: 9:00 a.m. -- Volunteers arrive, GCFD Mobile Pantry truck arrives. Volunteer activities: a short volunteer meeting; transport 9 - 10 tables from the school to the parking lot; begin unpacking, bagging and gleaning groceries; begin breaking down boxes and discarding other garbage ~ 10:00 a.m. -- Mobile Pantry opens. Volunteer activities: sign-in participants, distribute groceries, continue to bag groceries, assist pantry participants in choosing groceries, break down boxes and discard ~ 11:30 a.m. -- Mobile Pantry closes. Volunteer activities: finish box break-down and discard, clean and return tables to school, load any remaining undistributed food into vehicles and transport it back to RCS or Cornerstone ~ 12 pm -- Our goal to be all cleaned up and done!

- Make sure your contact information is up to date in the alumni directory . In order to receive information via e-mail about activities in your region, your contact information must be current. Fuqua alumni are invited to club activities based on their city of residence or employment. Are you only planning to be in Chicago temporarily? E-mail the Alumni Relations office , and we can make sure you are on the club's e-mail distribution list.
- Offer to host an alumni event at your business, home, or work place.
- Get involved with club leadership.
- Suggest events and ideas for activities you'd like to see in your city.
- Recommend a personal or professional speaker or make a presentation yourself.
