A Welcome Message from the INDUS Student Group
Welcome to the Indian Students MBA Organization Affinity Group. This group is a forum for alumni of Duke's Fuqua School of Business of Indian origin to exchange ideas and information, solicit advice and network.
Over the last decade, we have seen increasing role of Indians in the US business world Here at Fuqua, we have a strong alumni network who are successful in various positions across the US and abroad. The intent of creating an affinity group is to get to know each other and share the stories of success. It is also a chance for alums to meet and connect with Team Fuqua again.
At Fuqua, INDUS, the South East Asian business club, has recently taken lot of initiative. This year, we have started sponsoring an admissions Super Saturday for prospective students of Indian origin. We initiated a dedicated first year and second year panel to interact with prospective student for advice on the school. The applicant pool from India has grown tremendously. We have also set-up second year panel based on functionality to guide to ensure every student get a job he desires.. The results are very encouraging and will be shared after this recruiting season. Further efforts are on to built a website for the club.
On the cultural and social front, to promote diversity, on Fuqua Friday, we dressed up the school in Indian traditional clothing and served Indian Food. Additionally, we have taken initiative to set-up culture tables in the Fox center every term to showcase festivals such as Diwali, id , holi etc and to talk about Indian culture. The diwali table was visited by President Broadhead and Dean Blair. We are confident that every student knows namaste and dhanyavaad. We hosted special events for the visiting IIM Ahmedabad executive MBA class.
Once you are a member, you will receive e-mail communications from the group and have access to the group's discussion board and resources.
We look forward to interacting with you soon!!
