Jason Alba is CEO and creator of JibberJobber.com a web-based system designed to organize and manage a job search and the networking you do between job searches. Jason maintains several blogs including JibberJobber.com/blog, and contributes to the AOL Jobs blog. In his spare time he created the LinkedIn for Job Seekers DVD. Fuqua alumni are invited to "The Lessons of History and US Policy: Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan." Join Bruce Kuniholm, dean of the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke, for a presentation and discussion of U.S. involvement in three wars of the modern era. Kuniholm will reflect on the "lessons of history," and take a look at the "lessons of the past" as they have been applied to each of these conflicts through his lens as a scholar, former Marine platoon commander in Vietnam, policy planner for Iran and Afghanistan, and parent of a Marine who fought in Iraq. Napa Valley-style hors d'oeuvres will be served before the presentation, and an informal discussion will follow after. An award-winning scholar and teacher, Kuniholm is the founding dean of the Sanford School of Public Policy, and is professor of public policy and history. Kuniholm previously taught at Robert College in Istanbul, Turkey; and served in the U.S. Department of State, first in the Bureau of Intelligence, then as a member of the policy planning staff. He holds a Ph.D. in history, an M.A. in public policy and an M.A. in history, all from Duke, and an A.B. in English from Dartmouth College.

Please join fellow alumni from all over Southern California and their guests at Industry Hills Golf Club as we compete for the "Winner's Circle" at the 4th annual Southern California MBA Masters Golf Classic - Reading to Kids Charity Golf Tournament . The new Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms is one of the premier public courses in the nation. Both courses and the clubhouse were updated as part of a $17 million refurbishment project (www.pacificpalmsresort.com). The tournament will be held on the Babe course.

Notes

Saturday, June 6th will be a fun day of golf and networking with over 16 business schools represented by their alumni and guests. The format is a scramble tournament, making it easy to play for any level of golfer. The tournament is now a tradition for many and host to over 100 attendees.

There are a number of ways to get involved with Fuqua Alumni Club of Los Angeles:

  1. Make sure your contact information is up to date in the alumni directory .  In order to receive information via e-mail about activities in your region, your contact information must be current. Fuqua alumni are invited to club activities based on their city of residence or employment. Are you only planning to be in Southern California temporarily? E-mail the Alumni Relations office , and we can make sure you are on the club's e-mail distribution list. 
  2. Offer to host an alumni event at your business, home, or work place.  
  3. Get involved with club leadership.  
  4. Suggest events and ideas for activities you'd like to see in your city.
  5. Recommend a personal or professional speaker or make a presentation yourself.
