Seattle: Duke Alums Engage

Description

Duke Alums Engage is a new program being launched by the Duke Alumni Association in 20 cities. Learn the principles of service learning through this nationwide program that will take community service to a new level.

Notes

On November 7, the Duke Club of Puget Sound will be volunteering with Treehouse For Kids by sorting and tagging clothes and other donated items in the "Wearhouse" which is the free store for the foster kids. This project is in conjunction with the national Duke Alums Engage volunteer week, wherein Duke clubs all over the country are reaching out to assist in their communities with a variety of projects designed to promote civic engagement.

Seattle: Speed Networking

Description

The Association of Business School Alumni Professionals has organized a series of Speed Networking events around the country for top business schools, and Fuqua alumni are invited. 6:00pm-6:30pm Registration; 6:30pm-6:45pm Session on career strategies and networking tips; 6:45pm-8:00pm Speed networking

Seattle: B-School Alliance Happy Hour

Description

You and a guest are invited to the September Seattle Business School Alliance (SBSA) Happy Hour taking place on Thursday, September 3rd from 5pm - 8pm. Vulcan Real Estate is generously hosting the event. Visit with fellow alumni and preview Enso, one of Seattle?s newest luxury condominium residences, while enjoying spectacular city and Lake Union views. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served in the community room and roof terrace while champagne and dessert will be served in one of the exclusive penthouses.

This month's Seattle Business School Alliance (SBSA) "First Thursday" Happy Hour is sponsored by Fuqua! Come out to the Tap House Grill to reconnect with Fuqua grads as well as make new connections with other MBA grads in the Seattle area.

The SBSA is a Seattle-based consortium of alumni leaders from top business schools and exists to bring together the alumni of its member schools for the purposes of education and networking. Member schools periodically sponsor events that are open to attendees outside the alumni of that specific school, and in those instances they invite the broader SBSA membership to attend. The SBSA itself also organizes and sponsors regular networking and educational events.
