Organize or Sponsor an Alumni Event
Organize group lunches or dinners with other alums, focused on a common interest, such as:
• Entrepreneurship/Venture Capital
• Finance
• Fine arts
• Government
• IT consultants
• Marketing
• Non-profits
• Attorneys
Organize a group of alumni to attend an ongoing or upcoming museum tour, art exhibit, theater show, or musical performance.
• Simply team up with another alumni friend, select a potential date and time, pick a location (keep in mind easy to access and reasonable costs), and let us know to make sure there's no conflict with other planned or tentative events on the calendar.
• Get the details on tickets, costs, and required deposits. We can help you with the estimated number of attendees, publicity, required deposits, payment collection, and list of registered attendees.
• Then contact Jamie Khanna khann02c@mail.duke.edu and provide a description of the event with directions and other details.

The Washington, D.C. Alumni Club is committed to developing and propelling the careers of Fuqua alumni through activities:
• DC MBA career fair (40-50 companies in attendance)
• Career development seminars (by industry)
• Monthly networking happy hours
• DC’s own Distinguished Speaker Series
• Access to alumni events of Harvard, Wharton, Tuck, Columbia, Darden, Kellogg, and Georgetown
Professional Development
Assist alumni and current students with the tools, networking opportunities, and skills to advance their careers:
• Access to headhunters, companies looking to hire
• New DC area alumni database –contains resumes, updated regularly
• Corporate sponsors –specifically looking to hire Duke Fuqua grads
• Career fairs (40-50 companies in attendance)
• Networking happy hours (general and industry specific), seminars, DC speaker series, receptions
