The Duke MBA Games is excited to invite all Fuqua alumni to participate in two of our biggest events! The MBA Games is a student-run organization with a two-fold mission of raising $100,000 annually for Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC) and engaging Fuqua students with the Durham community through interaction with local Special Olympics athletes. Since our founding, we have raised over $1.6 million for SONC. We are eagerly anticipating our twentieth anniversary celebration this April and would like you to join us for two of our signature events:
The MBA Games Auction will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on February 22 at Fuqua. Last year, the auction raised over $50,000 for SONC in a single night, helping maintain Fuqua’s position as SONC’s top sponsor in 2007. This year’s theme is “A Night at the Oscars,” and the auction promises to be the top Fuqua social event of the spring. The entire Fuqua community is invited to attend, and we are actively seeking donations from our students, staff, faculty, the local community, corporate partners – and alumni! If you would like to learn more about the auction or make a donation, please contact Brit Simon and Scott Burfitt, or visit our website at http://www.mbagames.org.
The MBA Games Weekend will be held April 4-6, as teams from top business schools across the country come to Fuqua to participate in light-hearted events with local Special Olympics athletes. As this is our twentieth anniversary, we have decided to include an alumni team for the first time! If you are interested in joining the team, please contact Kate Lyden and Alumni Team Captain Jason Ward.
We are very excited about our upcoming events, and hope that the Fuqua alumni community will join us as we celebrate our twentieth anniversary of supporting Special Olympics North Carolina! For more information about our organization, please contact co-chairs Steve Abrahams and Emily Bickel, or visit our website at http://www.mbagames.org.
