New Online Career Resource Available to Alumni

CareerToolsPLUS is an online career resource which includes information, resources, and downloadable tools for career management, job search, running a business, and researching information about companies, localities, relocation, professions, and more. Provided through a partnership with Lee Hecht Harrison, CareerTools PLUS is available at no cost to all students and alumni for both your job search and career development. Here's a preview of some key tools and information you'll find:
- Job Search Steps and Tools: Instructions, tips and downloadable tools to help you find a great job, including determining your professional objective, developing a powerful resume, learning how to network, marketing yourself, interviewing and negotiation.
- Your Career Development: The five-step Career Lifecycle model guides you through career challenges, including how to put your best foot forward in a new position, stay on top of your profession, handle change, and develop a career plan.
- Your Own Business: Detailed advice about entrepreneurship and business plan creation guides.
- Local Job Market Reports and Research Guides: Job market statistics, outlook, major employers and local resources for twenty-three major U.S. markets. Detailed instructions and advice for locating and using information to help you change careers, research industries, and much more. Tap into Insite2, a bibliographic database with thousands of articles, opinion, analysts reports and news organized by industry, company and people
- International Resources and Advice: CV examples, immigration information, job search sites, salary research, calculators and converters, study and teach abroad resources and more for anyone working outside their home country, including internationals wanting to work in the U.S.
Whether you're in an active job search or are well established in your career, there's something here for you. You can access CareerToolsPLUS from the Careers page on the Alumni Web site (you will be required to log in to the Fuqua site to access the tool). After registering with CareerToolsPLUS as a first-time user, you'll be ready to get started!
