Winner of the Alumni Award for Exemplary Service
Ken supports Fuqua on a variety of levels, ranging from connecting his class, to building a local alumni presence, to building our brand worldwide. He has been a strong supporter of the Workshop for Minority Applicants, traveling to Durham each year to serve as a panelist and lend his talents to showing underrepresented minority candidates why Fuqua is the right place to get an MBA. He is always willing to help with admissions events and calling prospective and admitted students. He supports the Fuqua community at a local level by serving as the leader of the Charlotte alumni club, and he served as reunion lead for the Class of 1998.

Lynn Calhoun '83 (Daytime MBA), T '78

Winner of the Alumni Award for Exemplary Service
Lynn has engaged with Fuqua and the larger Duke community in countless ways, and has been described by colleagues here at Fuqua as the yeoman volunteer who says "yes" to every request for her time. Lynn Calhoun’s Duke ties run deep, with two degrees from Duke, a husband and daughter who are Trinity alumni, and a son who is a current undergraduate student. She and her husband are generous financial backers of the school and have made significant contributions to the construction of our new building, Breeden Hall. She has fearlessly served in important alumni leadership roles, representing the Fuqua alumni community on the Alumni Council, and, in her role as Chair of the Alunni Council, on Fuqua’s Board of Visitors. She led her class reunion committee with gusto and is responsible for bringing the class of 1983 back to campus with a strong showing.

Individuals who demonstrate their dedication to Fuqua by donating their time, energy, talents or financial support may be recognized in this category. Such award recipients build networks through class activities, regional programs, and initiatives within their corporation and service to current students and faculty. They strengthen the bonds between the school, its alumni, and its corporate partners.

Judy Maness '83 (MHA)

Winner of the Alumni Impact Award
Judy works hard to engage our MHA alumni, keeping them connected to each other and Fuqua. For several years, she has provided guidance to the school to reconnect with this important group and has been instrumental in reinvigorating the school’s outreach at events like the annual congress of the American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a steadfast financial supporter of the school, and serves as a representative to Fuqua's Alumni Council.

Wenny Tung '03 (Daytime MBA)

Winner of the Alumni Impact Award
When we asked for nominations, almost every department at Fuqua recommended Wenny for this award. Wenny supports Fuqua in many different capacities: as an admissions volunteer, a guest speaker at Blue Devil Weekend, the leader of our southern California alumni club, and speaker at several Daytime MBA events and conferences. Wenny has also been an important connection to the entertainment industry through her work at Disney. She has donated much of her time to consulting with students on careers at Disney, connecting Fuqua's corporate relations department with Disney, and gathering alumni in the entertainment industry together to strategize how to increase Fuqua’s presence in this sector.

Their commitment to Fuqua is demonstrated by their willingness to work out unique solutions to create positive outcomes. Recipients of this award take initiative and the Fuqua community benefits from their time, energy, and talents.
