Fuqua Online Career Workshops
Whether you are a seasoned professional or a recent graduate,
you have likely encountered times of transition throughout your career. The Duke MBA Career
Management Center will be hosting a series of career workshops to aid alumni through these turbulent economic times.
- Recession Proofing Your Career, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm ET, Thursday, May 21
- Reinventing Yourself, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm ET, Thursday, July 16
- Reentering the Workplace, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm ET, Thursday, September 17
- Perfecting Your Story, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm ET, Thursday, November 12
- Whether you are planning for advancement within your company, approaching contacts about external opportunities or expanding your network, telling an interesting and relevant story is essential for making a strong impression and can determine whether you get a call back or not. The Perfecting Your Story session will give tips for developing and organizing your story, and help you practice and refine your communication for greater impact.
- The seminar will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET. To participate, visit https://cebeapps.fuqua.duke.edu:443/centra75/attend.jsp?id=21365, then enter the brief registration information requested, including the 'Display Name.' The display name is your tag that the presenter and others attending the session will see that identifies you.
- Since network restrictions can often cause problems connecting to the session we strongly encourage you to run a Centra system check by going to the following link http://centra.fuqua.duke.edu and clicking on "System Check" just below the words The Fuqua School of Business at the top of the page. The system check will identify if there are any browser, network, or audio problems that will prevent you from participating in the session. We ask that you run the system check from the location of which you will attend the session in advance of the session start time. If you have additional questions please let us know.
