Fuqua Launches Minority Alumni Advisory Board
In November 2008, a set of incredibly dedicated members of the Fuqua alumni community met in Durham to form Fuqua's Minority Alumni Advisory Board. Inspired by the need to connect better to the Fuqua "family" of underrepresented minority alumni, the Board was created to provide Fuqua with a formal structure for nurturing, growing, and capitalizing on the resources of the minority alumni community. The Board also supports the needs of minority students and paves the way for the continued diversity of the Fuqua community. Many top business schools have formal alumni bodies focusing on minorities, and the addition of the Board helps to demonstrate formally Fuqua’s commitment to the minority population. read more » |

Cummings developed these recommendations based on a multi-year study of 108 project teams at Intel. Along with J. Save the Date: 2nd Annual Women's Leadership Conference
Please join the Association of Women in Business (AWIB) for their 2nd Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, where we will go "Beyond Business as Usual" to discuss what women need, outside of superior work performance, to be successful in the workplace. We’ll address important questions, such as: How are mentors utilized for optimal career success? What is the difference between social and professional networking? Is there really such a thing as work-life balance or is it really “work/life tradeoff?” Fuqua alumni perspectives are extremely valuable to us, so please consider joining us on March 31, 2010, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional details and registration will be available soon on the AWIB website. For questions, please contact AWIB Alumni Relations Chair Karen Brumback at karen.brumback@duke.edu. |
