Duke University Names Executive Director of Center for Financial Excellence
Seth Gardner '94 has been appointed Executive Director of the new Center for Financial Excellence at Fuqua, Dean Blair Sheppard announced. "Seth will work with faculty and administrators to design next-generation financial education and training programs for Fuqua's MBA students," said Sheppard. "The courses and programs offered through the Center will focus on core financial concepts and real-world applications, while incorporating critical lessons learned from the financial crisis." read more » |

Recruiting and Job Market Update: Part 1 of 2

Most would readily agree that the Class of 2009 faced a remarkably difficult job market. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), hiring was down about 22 percent from the previous year. Millions of lives are lost around the world each year to accidents, terrorist attacks, wars, epidemics and natural disasters. What's more, the prediction is that climate change will increase the number and intensity of some of these events. Join Us for a Service Project at the Durham Food Bank
As part of Fuqua Reunions 2010, alumni and their families are invited to take part in a community service project at the Durham Food Bank. In 2008-09, the Food Bank distributed over 36.8 million pounds of food through 800 partner agencies including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, and after school programs for children. Volunteers will be working in the warehouse; children 12 and older accompanied by an adult are welcome to help.
