Your leadership gift to the Fuqua Annual Fund is now more important than ever! Through the Team Fuqua Annual Fund Challenge, we are working to increase the number of donors making personal gifts of $1,000 or more. A generous donor has pledged $500,000 over the next three years if we meet increasing goals for the number of leadership donors.

We encourage you to consider a pledge of $3,000 or more payable over the next three years so that we can count you among the alumni and friends who will help us meet the challenge this year and in the following two years.

Does your company have a matching gifts program? Although company matching does not count toward the Team Fuqua Annual Fund Challenge, they are still a great way to double (or even triple) the size of your gift to the Fuqua Annual Fund. Your company's human resources department should have specific details of the matching criteria.

Why is leadership giving important?

At Fuqua, one of the most important lessons students learn is how to display leadership in all areas of their lives, both personal and professional. We strive to educate global leaders of consequence who are equipped to embrace the challenges and opportunities to make a difference in today's complex world. Leadership through philanthropy is a natural extension of these lessons.

While gifts of any size are important and appreciated, leadership donations account for the vast majority of Annual Fund dollars raised. In 2011-2012, 20% of gifts to the Fuqua Annual Fund were at the leadership level of $1,000 or more. Those gifts accounted for nearly 80% of the $2.8 million raised in support of the Fuqua Annual Fund. Leadership gifts ensure that the Annual Fund is a reliable source of funding for merit scholarships that attract the best and brightest students to our programs, recruiting and retaining a world-class faculty, and programs that help students connect academics with practice.

Leadership support by alumni is a public affirmation of confidence in the school and raises our reputation in the marketplace. Giving sends the message that Fuqua is a leader in business education and that alumni take pride in the school. Your participation as a leadership donor strengthens our momentum and encourages your fellow alumni to step up and support the school.
