Duke's Fuqua School of Business cordially invites you to join Duke alumni, friends of the University, and members of The Duke MBA—Cross Continent Class of 2010 for a presentation and discussion led by Mr. Nandan Nilekani, Chairman, Unique Identification Authority of India.
Mr. Nilekani is an author, Indian entrepreneur, and businessman. Mr. Nilekani currently serves as the Chairman of the new Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), after a successful career at Infosys Technologies Ltd, where he served as CEO. During his address Mr. Nilekani will highlight the themes of his book, Imagining India: The Idea of a Renewed Nation , and reflect on how the Unique Identification Program will help address the opportunities and challenges facing the world’s largest democracy over the coming decade.

Dubai: Leading a global organization—Current and future challenges for Abraaj Capital and the Middle East
Duke's Fuqua School of Business cordially invites you to join Duke alumni, friends of the University, and members of The Duke MBA—Global Executive Class of 2010 as Mr. Arif Naqvi, Founder & Group Chief Executive Officer, Abraaj Capital Limited, discusses current challenges of leading the largest private equity firm in the Middle East and his vision for the future of Abraaj Capital and the Middle East.
Mr. Arif Naqvi is Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai-based Abraaj Capital. Abraaj is the largest private equity group in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) and has capital of more than US$ 1 billion. Mr. Naqvi is a member of the Young Presidents Organization, where he was the Emirates Chapter Chairman from 2002 to 2003. He was designated a New Asian Leader by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2003 / 2004 and is a member of numerous think-tanks and policy groups, such as the WEF Arab Business Council. He is also a board member of the Pakistan Human Development Fund, the King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation & Achievement in Jordan and the Dubai Government Education Endowment Fund. Mr. Naqvi is also on the advisory council of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. In 2007 and 2008, PEI identified Mr. Naqvi as one of the 50-most influential people in the global private equity industry. In 2006, he was awarded the highest civilian honour in Pakistan, the Sitari-e-Imtiaz, by the republic's president. Mr. Naqvi was educated at the London School of Economics and previously worked with Arthur Andersen & Co, American Express Bank, Saudi Arabia's Olayan Group and The Cupola Group, which he founded in 1994.
