Malloy, Matt

Class of '97
Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Managing Director

Matt joined Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director in 2008, and leads GSAM's new business development for financial institutions in North America.

Matt has an extensive background in investment banking and has completed numerous corporate finance and M&A transactions over the course of his career. Prior to joining GSAM, Matt was a Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank, where he worked from 2003 to 2008 and had broad client coverage responsibilities across financial services companies. Prior to UBS, Matt worked at Merrill Lynch in the Financial Institutions Group in Investment Banking from 1997 to 2003. Matt has more than 16 years of financial services industry experience.

Matt earned a BA from Washington and Lee University in 1991 and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, in 1997.

Matt resides in Mendham, New Jersey, with his wife, Lacey, and their two children, Hope and Pierce.

Maness, Judy

Class of '83
Mount Saint Mary's Hospital & Hlt. Ctr., President and CEO

In September 2006, Judith Maness became President and CEO for Mount St. Mary’s Hospital and Health Center in Lewiston, New York, a member of Ascension Health, the largest not-for-profit, health system in the country. Prior to becoming President and CEO, Maness served as Senior Vice President and COO for seven years. In addition to being board certified, Maness is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). Maness spent thirteen years in Jacksonville, Florida, first with Riverside Hospital which merged with St. Vincent’s Health System. After leading Riverside through a closure, she accepted a position in February 1997, as Senior Vice President and Interim CEO of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in western New York to assist the hospital through a transition of ownership to the Daughters of Charity and in a subsequent merger with another local hospital to create the Health System of Niagara. Maness serves as a board member of: Girl Scouts of Western NY, Niagara P.A.L. Financial Advisory Board, Lower Niagara River Chamber of Commerce, Niagara Community College Healthcare Advisory Board, The Healthcare Association of NY State, Mount St. Mary’s Foundation, and the Mount St. Mary’s child care center. Additionally, she has been an active Duke alumna, including serving as president of DUHHAA in 1998, on the DAA Board of Directors from 1999-2004, and on the Fuqua’s Alumni Council since 2005. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, she is married to Ronald R. Willacker, and they have one son.

Marchese, Kelly

Class of '97
Deloitte Consulting, Senior Manager

Kelly Marchese is a partner in Deloitte’s Supply Chain practice in the Americas and has fifteen years of supply chain and operation’s management experience. She leads projects in both the Consumer Business and Manufacturing industries. Kelly prides herself on leading clients through complex transformations. Kelly began her career as a manufacturing engineering at GE. After four years of steel-toed shoes and fashionable protective eye wear, she returned to school for her MBA at Fuqua. During her consulting career, Kelly has led engagements in supply chain and process excellence for JDSU, Cargill, Talecris Biotherapeutics, SoloCup, US Navy, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon. Within Deloitte, Kelly has become known for her expertise in Lean/Six Sigma (certified master black belt) and her leadership roles in Fuqua recruiting and the Women’s Initiative. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband of fifteen years, chasing her four-year-old daughter…and in those few remaining moments, playing golf.

Mario, Greg

Class of '91
TAXIS Pharmaceuticals, Inc., CEO

For the past two years, Greg Mario has applied his unique blend of large corporate and small start-up experience within the health care, technology, and telecommunications sectors to the private equity markets, where he is currently a lead partner with two boutique firms. Mario joined Talk America, a telecommunications company, in 2002, where he led marketing and business development while organizing the Company’s IT/IS development efforts for marketing, sales, and customer service. Prior to joining Talk America, Mario spent thirteen years as a professional in the life sciences industry where he held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of sales, marketing, business development, and licensing and acquisition. In 1995, he became the second employee of a start-up, wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bristol Myers Squibb Corp., The Center for Health Outcomes & Economics, where he led the marketing and sales launch of the new venture, managed business development and corporate communications, and later became Director of Product Development. Mario graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, with a BS in biochemistry (1987). He is currently a member of the boards of directors of the Colon Cancer Foundation and Infostrength.

May, Andy

Class of '87
American Dream Residential, President

Chair, Alumni Council

Andrew May is now President of American Dream Residential, a residential and commercial mortgage company located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to starting ADRMortgage.com, May was Senior Vice President and Treasurer of JPMorganChase’s CMH mortgage conduit and responsible for all Chase mortgage product channels. He was also a board member of AIG’s CentreCap mortgage conduit and Vice President of Marketing, Products, and Modeling. May was one-third owner of CMG Mortgage, the largest mortgage broker in the San Francisco Bay area. Andrew and Sara (Daytime MBA '87) May have three daughters, Corinne, Vanessa, and Carolyn. They reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.

McKenzie, Phil

Class of '99
FREE Magazine, Associate Publisher / Editorial Director

Philip L. McKenzie is currently a Managing Partner of FREE Media, a multifaceted media company. His responsibilities include serving as Associate Publisher & Editorial Director for FREE Magazine, a Men’s Luxury Lifestyle publication, developing original cable and online content, and creating branded strategic partnerships. After completing his MBA, McKenzie joined Goldman, Sachs & Co where he worked in Domestic Equity Trading. His first trading responsibilities were in the Healthcare sector followed by a role in Consumer Products where he traded companies such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Proctor & Gamble and McDonalds to name a few. McKenzie is a passionate supporter of the arts. He has been a Supporting Partner of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre since 1999. He is also a Junior Associate of the Museum of Modern Art and a member of the Apollo Circle of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Prior to his Duke MBA, McKenzie earned a bachelor of business administration from Howard University specializing in finance with a minor concentration in philosophy. McKenzie resides in New York City but travels extensively to Los Angeles and London.

Meadows, Priscilla

Class of '87
Dove Seven Solutions, Inc., Vice President - Finance

Priscilla Robinson Meadows received her BS in business administration from UNC-Greensboro, a Duke MBA, and is a CPA in inactive status. Meadows began working for GTE (now Verizon) in July 1977 as a staff auditor in Durham, North Carolina. She performed jobs of increasing responsibility in finance in the areas of toll processing, rate case preparation, budgeting/outlook, management education, project management, and process re-engineering. Priscilla moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1996 to assume the position of Director-Finance Training and Communications. She retired from Verizon after twenty-five years in February 2003. She continues to work in finance as minority owner of a small construction firm, DoveSeven Solutions, Inc. She has shared her business experience in motivational talks to numerous organizations including the National Black MBA Association, Leaders of Tomorrow, (LEAD), National Eagle Leadership Initiative (NELI), American Association of University Women, Verizon, Frito-Lay, and the Bryant Gumbel Scholarship Program. She is now very happy to serve the Fuqua Alumni Council to promote the continued success of Duke and its business programs.
