Lee Waite is a Managing Director within Citi’s Global Transaction Services (GTS) Division. He is Global Head of Direct Custody and Clearance (DCC) which predominately caters to the needs of intermediaries including broker/dealers and global custodians. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for the acquisition and global integration of the recent purchase of Bisys - a global, fund administration firm. Prior to his role within GTS, Lee was the Global Chief Operating Officer for the Equities Division at Citi. As COO, he was responsible for technology, middle-office and operations. He was also very involved in strategy and acquisitions. Mr. Waite joined the firm in July 1983, as a trainee manager in the Firm’s Retail Division. Lee has worked in the retail, fixed income and equity divisions in various capacities, including three years in London in the late 1990s. Other previous positions include: Head of Global Equity Sales, CAO/CFO for Global Equities, Head of Retail TFI, Head of Retail Capital Markets, Head of National Sales and Regional Sales Manager, Northeast Region. Mr. Waite holds a degree in Business Administration from Towson State University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.
