Federated Investors, Inc., Senior Vice President

Colin Starks is Senior Vice President of Federated Securities Corp., a subsidiary of Federated Investors, Inc. He is also a Corporate Officer of Federated Securities Corp. Starks is responsible for leading the sales and distribution of all Federated Investors products and services within the broker/dealer industry. Federated Investors is one of the largest mutual fund companies in the country.

Prior to joining Federated Investors in 1998, Starks was a Vice President at Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company, Inc. for five years where he managed sales and distribution opportunities for financial intermediaries. This was preceded by a 15-year career at the IBM Corporation where he held a number of key sales, marketing, and executive positions.

Mr. Starks received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Duke University in 1978 and an MBA in marketing from Duke University in 1979. He is a former member of the Board of Visitors of Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and is a graduate of the Securities Industry Institute at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Starks and his wife, Laurie, reside in Southlake, Texas, and have three children.

Varhelyi, Edith

Coberon Chronos Group, CEO

Edith Varhelyi is CEO of Coberon Chronos Group, a global provider of IT outsourcing, staffing and BPA services. The company is currently delivering projects in over 50 countries in EMEA, Asia and the Americas for multinational clients.

Prior to her appointment as Group CEO in 2006, Edith ran the IT outsourcing division of the Group. After receiving BA and MSc degrees from universities in Sweden and the UK, Edith earned her MBA at the Fuqua School of Business in 2002. She speaks fluent Hungarian and Swedish and has lived and worked in eight countries on three continents.

Prior to Fuqua, Edith worked as VP for the first online consumer shopping portal in Europe as well as spent a few years as managing partner of a staffing company in Europe.

Waite, Lee

Citi, Global Head of Direct Custody & Clearing

Lee Waite is a Managing Director within Citi’s Securities and Fund Services (SFS) unit located within the Global Transaction Services business. He is Global Head of Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) which predominately caters to the needs of intermediaries including broker/dealers and global custodians. As the Global Head of Direct Custody & Clearing Mr. Waite is responsible for managing the risk, setting global strategy surrounding all DCC products and managing the P & L of the business. He works closely with SFS’s client base to develop multi-product strategies to solve complex client issues. Mr. Waite is a member of the SFS executive committee.

Prior to his current role, he was responsible for the acquisition and global integration of the purchase of Bisys - a global, fund administration firm. Earlier, Lee was the Global Chief Operating Officer for the Equities Division at Citi. As COO, he was responsible for technology, middle-office and operations. He was also very involved in strategy and acquisitions.

Mr. Waite joined the firm in July, 1983, as a trainee manager in the Firm’s Retail Division. Lee has worked in the retail, fixed income and equity divisions in various capacities, including three years in London in the late 1990s. Other previous positions include: Head of Global Equity Sales, CAO/CFO for Global Equities, Head of Retail TFI, Head of Retail Capital Markets, Head of National Sales and Regional Sales Manager, Northeast Region.

Mr. Waite holds a degree in Business Administration from Towson State University and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He also actively serves as Vice Chairman of the Alumni Council for Fuqua. He resides in Connecticut with his wife and two children. He is an avid traveler. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, boating, tennis and basketball.
