Corporate Presentations

Previously known as SIPs, a limited number of companies will host one-hour Corporate Presentations. These events are available to those employers who had 70 or more attendees at their previous presentation and whose demonstrated scope and success of Duke MBA hiring is significant. Corporate Presentations consist of a 20-minute presentation and a 40-minute networking reception.

Please consult your Corporate Account Manager to discuss which is the best or most appropriate venue for your recruiting efforts. We will work with you to ensure that you can communicate the company's culture, market your job opportunities, and network with our students in a format that helps you to build a positive brand image on campus.

Presentation costs and catering

If your presentation is held at Duke, room rental is $200 per event. Catering costs are not included in this rental rate.

We have professional catering services on site, and you may choose from a number of menus and à la carte options. Food selections range from simple hors d’oeuvres to ice cream sundaes and everything in between. Some organizations choose to serve beer and wine. Catering costs include the cost of the food/beverage selected, 7 percent sales tax, an $85 set-up fee and a $75 bartender fee, if applicable. Log on to Recruit@Duke to fill out our catering form.

Presentation venues and audio/video capabilities

Corporate presentations are held at Duke or at local hotels. We offer a number of on-campus venues to suit a variety of presentation sizes.

If you prefer to host your presentation off campus, consult our list of local hotels where you can make arrangements directly. Please let your Corporate Account Manager know the details of the event as soon as possible so we can publicize it to students.

If you are unable to travel to Durham for a presentation, consider hosting a virtual presentation or conducting a web-based presentation. Fees vary depending on the videoconferencing capabilities at your location and the length of the presentation. Please allow at least one week’s advance time for our multimedia department to test equipment compatibility between Duke and your site.

You may reserve audio or video equipment for your presentation using Recruit@Duke. All equipment requested will be set up prior to your presentation, and a multimedia department representative will meet with your company representative before the presentation to familiarize everyone with the equipment.

Working with your Presentation host

Your host will contact you prior to your presentation day and set up a meeting time and location at Fuqua. Your host will greet you before your presentation and help you get acclimated to the presentation facilities.

How to register for corporate presentations

You may request presentation or office hours timeslots through Recruit@Duke. Your account manager will review your request and assign a date and time with consideration for other events that have been already scheduled. We will not schedule corporate presentations for companies from the same industry at the same time slot so that students are not forced to choose between companies.
