The CMO Survey: Economic Optimism Down, Social Media Up

Professor Christine Moorman surveyed 500+ CMOs this summer and found that their optimism about the overall U.S. economy dropped significantly. However, CMOs feel less pessimistic about their own companies. They expect key customer metrics to drop, but still their budget for marketing research, intelligence, and social media is on the rise.
