COLE Leadership Fellows Awards and Recognition
- COLE Fellows win Cerebration '09
COLE Fellows Anupnum Bhandari and Bobby Brenman, and two of their Fuqua classmates (Kyle Gardner, Vishal Patel), won first place in the international Cerebration 2009 Global Business Plan Competition in Singapore. The winners beat out more than 450 MBA teams from over 110 schools representing 30 countries to win the competition. Finalists in the top 6 teams represented NYU Stern, Chinese University of Hong Gong, HEC Montreal, Indian School of Business and IIT Bombay. Read more about the competition»
2009-2010 COLE Leadership Fellows
- Joe Elliott, Whitney Hewitt, Shaun Horrigan, Chistopher Krummel, Callie Lytton, Vince Margida, Matt McLain, Andrew Sadowski, Luke Smith, Carla Viana, and Julie Wright -- Dean's List for The Duke MBA Daytime Class of 2010. This designation is given to students whose grade point average, after their First Year, puts them in the top 20% of the class. 88 First Year students were recognized for this highly significant achievement.
2008-2009 COLE Leadership Fellows
- Vince Right and Barri Stiber --The Keohane Award for Leadership recipients. Established in 2004 in honor of Duke President Nannerl O. Keohane, this award is given with unanimous approval of the Awards Committee, the Associate Dean of The Duke MBA-Daytime Program and the Dean.
- Vibhor Chhabra -- 2009 Asa T. Spaulding Sr. Award recipient. Awarded annually to one second-year Duke MBA Daytime student whose vision and leadership have made significant and lasting contribution to the Fuqua community.
- Amber Marzuola -- 2009 Alan D. Schwartz Award for Mentorship recipient. Awarded annually to one Duke MBA Daytime student who has demonstrated an exceptional willingness and ability to mentor his/her peers.
- Robin Abramowitz, Dan Aycock, Pamela Goldberg, Steve Misuraca, Claire Ramich, Diana Tyler --The Dean's Recognition Awards recipients. Established in 1998 by former Dean Rex Adams, this award is presented annually to students who have provided truly exemplary service to the school. 14 students were recognized for this award.
- Robin Abramowitz, Dan Aycock, Anupam Bhandari, Michael Foss, Kat Jones, Ken Tomei, John Troy, and Peter Weld -- Fuqua Scholars for The Duke MBA Daytime Class of 2009. This designation is given to students whose grade point average places them in the top 10% of the graduating class. 45 Second Year students were recognized for this highly significant achievement.
- Amy Laverdiere and Bobby Brenman -- Club of the Year Award recipients. Awarded annually to a club that has shown collective and exemplary leadership in building relationships and opportunities with a variety of constituents, including students, alumni, companies and faculty. The Club of the Year delivers an exceptional value to the student body through initiatives and programming.
2007-2008 COLE Leadership Fellows
- Aparupa Bhattachraya -- 2008 Team Fuqua Award Recipient. The Fuqua MBA Association, recognizes a member of the Fuqua community whose actions go above and beyond their normal job responsibilities.
- Stephanie Cox and Susan Hazard -- Fuqua Scholars. Fuqua Scholars are those students whose grade point average places them in the top 10% of the graduating class. 35 Second Year students were recognized for this highly significant achievement.
- Aparupa Bhattachraya, Mary Garris, Laura Simonson, Suzanne Steffens -- 2008 Dean's Recognition Award recipients. Awarded annually to students who have provided truly exemplary service to the school. 12 students were recognized for this award.
- Susan Hazard -- Distingusihed Service Award Recipient. Awarded annually to a second-year Duke MBA Daytime student whose service and commitment have made a significant positive impact on the Fuqua Community.

- Stephanie Nelson -- 2007 ASA T. Spaulding Sr. Award Recipient. Awarded annually to second-year Duke MBA Daytime students whose vision and leadership have made a significant and lasting contribution to the Fuqua Community.
