Management | Center Scholars & Executives | COLE Leadership Fellows
In 2003, the Fuqua/Coach K Center on Leadership & Ethics (COLE) established the Leadership Fellows program to engage a select group of Fuqua Second Year Daytime MBA students in its mission to advance leadership and ethics. The Leadership Fellows support COLE in its research, education, and operational activities and help represent Fuqua’s culture of leadership and teamwork.
The vision of the COLE Leadership Fellows is to develop Duke MBA graduates who exemplify the strongest qualities of leadership and character, including self-awareness, ethical and global sensitivity, and personal courage.
The mission of the COLE Leadership Fellows program is to prepare Fuqua students for successful leadership by:
In addition, COLE Leadership Fellows help to develop and communicate COLE's leadership messages, provide programmatic support for its activities (both at Fuqua and globally), and help generate ideas and build the tools needed for students to develop their personal leadership.
COLE Leadership Fellows undergo an intensive training session on team facilitation and coaching and apply this learning in their work with incoming first year students during Fuqua’s Global Institute curriculum. Fellows are selected through a competitive application process based on leadership experience, diversity of leadership styles, character, vision, ideas, passion, and commitment. Application and selection process for the COLE Leadership Fellows is held in February of every year.
