Introduction to Relative Valuation Methodologies

This boot camp was administered by a team of investment bankers from Credit Suisse.  Credit Suisse's professionals introduced relative and intrinsic valuation techniques and best practices, and offered experiential insights that framed the valuation concepts in real-world contexts.  During the boot camp, Fuqua students also worked in teams in separate breakout rooms on actual valuation assignments.  The students' analyses were then reviewed and critiqued by Credit Suisse's professionals.

Financial Due Diligence

This boot camp was administered by professionals from PricewaterhouseCoopers' Transaction Services group and was designed to enhance the students' comprehension of the skills, knowledge and best practices required to prepare best in class financial due diligence, including quality of earnings, debt-like items and working capital analyses. Finance Professions Workshop

The Center for Financial Excellence, in collaboration with the Career Management Center, kicked off the school year with an inaugural event for first year Daytime MBA students in August 2010.  The Finance Professions Workshop dug deep into the roles, responsibilities and relevant terminology across 5 finance professions: investment banking, institutional sales and trading, equity research, corporate finance, and asset management and private wealth.  The event involved 16 Fuqua alumni across the above professions to offer their insights and expertise surrounding job responsibilities and career paths.
