I've enjoyed the various speakers who have come through Fuqua including Jamie Dimon and then, via The "Future of Capitalism" panel in 2010, we got to hear from Alan Schwartz and David Rubenstein among others. It is always interesting to hear smart, experienced finance professionals discussing (and occasionally disagreeing on) important issues.

The Center for Financial Excellence designs and organizes state-of-the-art finance boot camps during the school year to enhance students' understanding of fundamental finance concepts and practical financial skills. In these boot camps, leading finance practitioners introduce industry applications of academic concepts, work closely with students to develop and refine practical skills sets, and offer students insights and advice about finance industry best practices. Coupled with students' classroom learning, the Center's boot camps help Fuqua's students develop a practitioner's eye and real-world acumen to launch successful careers in finance.
The Center has hosted several boot camps to date covering topics including identifying negative liquidity trends and best practices, financial due diligence, and valuations methodologies. Each rigorous boot camp was comprised of a mix of lectures, team breakouts, and group work sessions in which practitioners provided constructive feedback on students' work.
