Deep student engagement with leading finance practitioners is a critical element of the Center's mission. This type of experiential learning enables students to foster an authentic understanding of the roles and responsibilities associated with specific careers in finance and to develop the practical financial skill sets utilized by finance practitioners. The Center's boot camps, seminars, workshops, and other educational initiatives engage experienced finance practitioners to convey pertinent industry knowledge and personal career insights.
The Center facilitated Hedge Fund Live's sponsorship of a team of Fuqua students to invest in securities through a trading account created specifically for Fuqua. Students are permitted to make investment decisions on their own but they are required to submit written investment strategy memoranda to HFL's traders and communicate regularly with these professional investors via HFL's blogs.
