Duke CIBER hosts workshops and conferences designed to encourage professional development in international business within the various disciplines. These include conferences on offshoring and cross-cultural awareness as well as a doctoral consortium.

 

  • Duke CIBER certifies faculty and administrators who are using and debriefing the InterCultural Edge (ICE) cross-cultural assessment instrument at their institutions.
  • Duke CIBER also provides research grants to faculty and doctoral students at the Fuqua School of Business as a way to further promote international business research and collaboration across institutions. This initiative creates international linkages and collaboration among other institutions to help further internationalize the Fuqua School of Business.
  • Furthermore, Duke CIBER is a member of the Ph.D. Consortium that takes turns organizing doctoral workshops based on subject matter expertise of participating consortium schools (Duke on International Strategy and Global Management) every two years. The workshops target doctoral students who are in their formative stages of their research, and doctoral students must apply and be accepted to participate in the program.
