We provide financial support to programs, conferences, workshops, and initiatives that are tied to the Center's goals and mission. In some instances, we provide monetary support, serve on the steering committee, and take an active part in helping to shape the program agenda. In other cases, we simply provide financial support to selected programs that are relevant to our goals. Sponsoring these activities allows Duke CIBER to leverage existing programs without having to reinvent the wheel. It is also a way to reach out to the business world, as well as historically black colleges and universities, and others.
