CIBER Business Language Conference
The annual CIBER Business Language Conference normally takes place in the spring and is co-sponsored by 33 CIBERs. The conference showcases research papers, innovative technology, case studies, teaching materials, and pedagogies integrating business, culture, and language education on K-12, undergraduate, post-graduate, and professional education.
Working Business Languages for MBA Students
Duke CIBER helps subsidize the offering of working languages such as working Mandarin, French, and Portuguese to Duke MBAs who are participating in global consulting programs. The program teaches business concepts and terminologies in the target language to the Duke MBAs through online framework or structured tutoring. The intent is to expose students to cultures and languages outside of their comfort zones and to help maximize their global experience.
