As part of our mission to help internationalize the Fuqua School of Business, the Center funds new global elective programs such as Global Academic Travel Experience (GATE), Global Consulting Practicum (GCP), and Global Independent Study (GIS) to internationalize the MBA experience. While on these programs, Duke MBAs are immersed in the business, government, economy, and culture of a particular country. Professor Arie Y. Lewin introduced the first GATE course at Fuqua by taking groups of students to Japan in the eighties.  Since then, it became an established MBA course.
