As part of our mission to help internationalize The Fuqua School of Business, the Center funds new global elective programs such as the Global Academic Travel Experience (GATE), Fuqua Client Consulting Practicum (FCCP), and Global Independent Study (GIS). During these programs, Duke MBAs are immersed in the business, government, economy, and culture of a particular country. Professor Arie Lewin introduced the first GATE course at Fuqua by taking groups of students to Japan in the 1980s. Since then, GATE has became an established MBA course.
