  • Mark Boyle

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.S. in International Relations, United States Military Academy

    Military Experience: Mark served as an Infantry Officer in the 101st Airborne Divisions at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and the Third US Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) at Ft. Myer, Virginia. He held numerous positions including Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Training Officer. He deployed to Iraq in 2007.

  • Herman Bulls

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.S. in Economics, United States Military Academy

    Military Experience: Herman served as an Infantry Officer in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 2006-2008. He held the positions of Rifle Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer and executed a 16 month deployment to Iraq before being selected to serve as a General’s Aide for the Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Army Cadet Command. He attended the Marine Expeditionary Warfare School before commanding two Stryker Companies with 1st Brigade, 25th Infantry Division Stryker Brigade Combat Team. After a 12 month deployment to Afghanistan he was selected to serve as aide to the U.S. Army Alaska Commanding General before arriving at Fuqua.

  • Matt Christensen

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Navy

    Education: B.S. in Biological Sciences, Virginia Tech

    Military Experience: Matt completed three deployments to the western Pacific Ocean as a Submarine Officer aboard the USS OHIO (SSGN-726). He held numerous positions including Main Propulsion Assistant, Force Protection Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer. Matt then went on to serve as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at the Virginia Military Institute Naval ROTC Unit.

  • Paul Escajadillo

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.A. in Political Science, San Diego State University

    Military Experience: Paul served as a Military Information Support Operations Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the 1st and 9th Military Information Support Battalions, United States Army Special Operations Command, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He held numerous positions including Tactical Team Leader, Product Development Detachment NCOIC, and S3 Plans & Exercises NCOIC. Paul deployed to Ecuador in 2007, Colombia in 2008, and Afghanistan in 2009-2010 and again in 2011.

  • Monica Frey

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Navy

    Education: B.M.E., James Madison University

    Military Experience: Monica is an active duty Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps. She served as a division officer onboard USS CHOSIN (CG 65) (2004-07); Flag Lieutenant to Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command and 44th Chief of Supply Corps (2007-08); logistics operations officer on the Joint Staff (J-4) at the Pentagon (2008-10); military planner in the Political Military Affairs Section of U.S. Embassy Kabul, Afghanistan (2010-11); Cultural Support Team Advisor to Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command-Afghanistan (CFSOCC-A) (2011); and as the Principal Assistant for Logistics onboard USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN 77) (2011-13). She completed five deployments for OIF, OEF, and anti-piracy operations.

  • Marianna Hamilton

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.A. in Political Science, Wake Forest University

    Military Experience: Marianna served as an Aviation Officer in 1-17th Cavalry Squadron, 82d Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She held numerous positions including Scout/Attack Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, Squadron Assistant S-3, Squadron Personnel Officer, and Pilot-in-Command (OH-58DR’s). She deployed to Iraq in 2006 and attended the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course before becoming the Personnel Officer for the Denver Recruiting Battalion in 2009.

  • Kevin Kalkwarf

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.S. in Economics, United States Military Academy

    Military Experience: Kevin served as an Aviation Officer in the U.S. Army Operational Test Command, 15th Military Intelligence Battalion, and Task Force ODIN (Iraq). He held numerous positions including Pilot-In-Command, Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Operations Officer, and Plans Officer. He deployed to Iraq in 2008-2009 and again in 2011.

  • Kimberly Koss

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Navy

    Education: B.S. in Economics, United States Naval Academy

    Military Experience: Kimberly served as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer on USS TAYLOR (FFG 50) from 2007-2009. She served as the Damage Control Assistant on USS JOHN L HALL (FFG 32) from 2009-2011. Kimberly completed her Naval service as an Instructor of Anti-Submarine Warfare and Ship handling at the Surface Warfare Officers School from 2011-2013.

  • Tim McDonald

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.S. in Political Science, United States Military Academy

    Military Experience: Tim served in the 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment (25th Infantry Division) as a Mobile Gun System Platoon Leader, Rifle Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer. He later commanded A Troop, 3rd Squadron, 73rd US Cavalry (82nd Airborne Division). Tim supported the Global War on Terror by leading these units in Iraq and Afghanistan, respectively.

  • John Oliver

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.S. in Economics, United States Military Academy

    Military Experience: John served as an Infantry Officer in the 82nd Airborne where he deployed to Iraq as a Platoon Leader in 2007. He also served as the S-3 Air upon redeployment. John attended the Maneuver Captains Career Course and commanded two companies in 1-25th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, at Ft Wainwright, Alaska. He deployed his rifle company to Afghanistan in 2011 and took over Headquarters Company upon redeployment. John is now a Captain and a FA 50 Force Management Officer. He has completed the FA 50 qualification course and will work in the Pentagon upon graduation from Duke.

  • Matt Petrocci

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.S. in Biology, St. Joseph’s University (PA)

    Military Experience: Matt served as an Air Defense Artillery Officer in the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado as a Platoon Leader, Battery Executive Officer, Operations Officer, and Battalion Executive Officer. He was also a track athlete for the Army’s World Class Athlete Program and competed in domestic and international competitions including the 2011 World Military Games in Rio de Janeiro.

  • Stuart Smith

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.A. in Economics, The University of Texas at Austin

    Military Experience: Stuart served as an infantryman and a sniper in the 1-502 Infantry in the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He deployed to Lutifiyah and Yusifiyah, Iraq from 2005-2006 and to Baghdad from 2007-2008.

  • Jorge Soriano

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Marine Corps

    Education: B.A. in Economics, University of Southern California

    Military Experience: Jorge served as a Personnel Chief for the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines, 4th Marine Division at Camp Pendleton, California. He deployed to Iraq in 2003, where he served as a Security Team Leader.  

    Area of Interest:  Investment Management and Social Entrepreneurship

  • Bering Tsang

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Marine Corps

    Education: B.S.E in Electrical Engineering, Duke University

    Military Experience: Bering served as the Chief of Staff to the National Intelligence Manager for East Asia in the Office for the Director of National Intelligence in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he served as an Intelligence Officer at 3d Intelligence Battalion in Okinawa, Japan. He held numerous positions including Team Commander, Regimental Intelligence Officer, and Company Executive Officer. Bering deployed to Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2009.

  • Luis Spradley

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Marine Corps

    Education: B.B.A. Management, Texas Tech University

    Military Experience: Luis served as an Infantry Officer with the 2d Battalion, 7th Marines out of Twentynine Palms, California. He held the billets of rifle platoon commander, weapons platoon commander/fire support team leader, and advisor. Luis deployed to Southeast Asia with the 31st MEU in 2011 and to Sangin and Kajaki districts, Helmand Province, Afghanistan during the summer of 2012.

  • Adrian Meyer

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Army

    Education: B.S. in Economics, United States Military Academ

    Military Experience: Adrian served as an Infantry Officer in the10th Mountain Division at FT Polk, Louisiana. His positions included Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Adjutant.  In 2010, he completed the Civil Affairs (CA) Qualification Course and subsequently served as a CA Officer in the 95th CA Brigade (Airborne) at FT Bragg, North Carolina. His positions included Team Leader, Company Operations Officer, and Battalion Operations Officer. He has deployed to Afghanistan in 2006, Iraq in 2007, Pakistan in 2010, and Qatar in 2012.

  • Tom Moran

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Navy

    Education: B.A in History, College of the Holy Cross

    Military Experience: Tom served as Electrical Officer and Combat Information Center Officer on USS MAHAN (DDG 72) in Norfolk, Virginia and as Navigator on USS SHOUP (DDG 86) in Everett, Washington. Tom deployed to 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleets in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and coalition counter-piracy operations. Most recently, Tom served as a Class Officer and Instructor at Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island.

  • Whit Morehouse

    Class of 2015

    Military Branch: United States Navy

    Education: B.S. in Economics, United States Naval Academy

    Military Experience: Whit served as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer. He held numerous positions including Combat Information Center Officer on the USS STEPHEN W. GROVES (FFG 29) and Reactor Propulsion Officer on the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71). He deployed to the Eastern Pacific Ocean in support of Counter Drug Operations off the coast of South America in 2006 and to the Persian Gulf in 2009.
