Faculty in the Economics area at Fuqua are engaged in research on a wide variety of problems in economics. With respect to macroeconomics, faculty interest and expertise is focused on problems involving financial, monetary and international issues. Recent work by faculty examines problems in asset pricing, technology adoption and cross-country income differences, and computational techniques. With respect to microeconomics, the focus is with problems involving industrial organization and markets. Recent work by faculty includes projects on topics such as intellectual property and contracting, auctions, and learning in new markets. Faculty in the Economics area publish regularly in a variety of leading academic journals, including broad economic journals such as the American Economic Review and Journal of Political Economy as well as leading field journals such as the Journal of Public Economics , Journal of Economic Theory, and RAND Journal of Economics.
