For 20 months, you study with other professionals averaging six years of work experience. Flexibility is maximized through a dynamic format that blends the best aspects of traditional classroom teaching in North America, Europe, Asia, and another international location with Internet-enabled distance learning. You continue your career while studying from anywhere in the world.
Beginning in late July, you complete 11 core courses, four elective courses and one integrative capstone course over eight terms. A term includes one-week of pre-class reading, one-week of residential classes, a one-week break, six weeks of Internet-enabled distance learning and another one-week break. Cross Continent students attend nine weeks of residential sessions (eight one-week sessions plus one week of orientation). Out of the eight residencies, five are in North America, one is in Europe, one is in Asia, and another is in an undetermined international location. Terms 1, 2, and 6 take place on Duke’s main campus in North America; term 3, term 4, and term 5 are international residencies.
