One of the admission requirements for an executive MBA is sponsorship from your organization. At a minimum, that means you should submit your application with a letter from your company indicating they support your efforts in the Duke executive MBA program and that they will give you the necessary time off to attend classes.
We understand that each company's policy is different, and that for some of our candidates, granting time off will be the extent of their company's sponsorship.
For other candidates, whose companies have more extensive sponsorship policies, the admissions committee also considers the level of support from your company. The stronger your corporate sponsorship is, the stronger your application is. When evaluating corporate sponsorship, the admissions committee looks for three things:
If you are self-employed we do not require the same letter, but we would like some indication that you have made arrangements for the kind of time off and support you will need to complete the program.
If you have any questions regarding sponsorship, or if you need help in presenting the executive MBA program to decision makers at your company, please contact our office.
