"A Winternship allows an MMS student to apply skills learned in the classroom in a real-life work environment. If you want to gain experience in a particular industry or position, a Winternship might be a perfect opportunity for you." — Meaghan McGarry (MMS: FOB 2015).
Meaghan combined her interests into the perfect Winternship with Physique 57, headquartered in New York City.
Use your winter break to put your classroom learning into practice. Students have participated in winter internships, or "Winternships" at more than 20 companies.
- MD Global Partners, LLC, an investment banking firm in New York City, sponsors students as Investment Banking Analysts. Students work directly with CEO Owen May (Daytime MBA '83) and participate in client presentations, gaining experience in financial modeling, international business, and negotiating.
- At Cisco Systems in Research Triangle Park, student interns support and enhance business relationships by monitoring the Web Services Department's interactions with customers, and then students produce a summary of findings which they present to management.
- At Improv'eat, a gluten-free and organic food producer, interns create and design social media marketing plans.
