Duke’s Fuqua School of Business Announces New Director of Financial Aid
August 05, 2003
DURHAM, NC – Cassandra Pettigrew was recently named director of financial aid at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business, said Pam Brown, director of student services.
She replaces Paul West who retired after long service to Fuqua.
“Her many years of experience in financial aid and her commitment to customer service will be a tremendous asset to us as we expand the daytime MBA program,” Brown said.
Pettigrew has been the financial aid officer at Fuqua for the past three years. She will continue to counsel daytime and executive MBA students about financial aid options and resources. Internally, she will assist administrators with managing the financial aid resources at Fuqua.
Pettigrew came to Fuqua from First Union Mortgage Corporation where she was employed as a lost mitigation specialist. In this position, she counseled delinquent mortgagors and helped them find ways to satisfy their financial obligations. Prior to that, she was a financial aid counselor and direct loan administrator at Saint Augustine’s College. In this position, she counseled undergraduate students and their parents about financial aid resources available for college.
The Fuqua School of Business, founded in 1969, offers its MBA degree in four formats. The Duke MBA-Daytime is the school's flagship program; the other non-residential executive MBA options include The Duke MBA-Cross Continent, The Duke MBA-Global Executive and The Duke MBA-Weekend Executive. Fuqua also offers non-degree executive education.
