Lending a helping hand comes naturally to Tim Jeffries, Global Executive '03. He has long been committed to volunteer and charity work, but his experiences at Fuqua inspired him to give more, both professionally and personally.

Jeffries said seeing and studying the world as a Global Executive student opened his eyes to people's needs around the world, and made him even more passionate about serving others.

"In my opinion, everyone in every country has a responsibility to help others and make a difference in the world, particularly as the world becomes more interconnected," Jeffries said. "Global business leaders have an even greater responsibility to make a difference in the communities they serve, and to spread goodwill throughout the countries in which they travel."

Jeffries serves as Managing Partner of P7 Enterprises and as Managing Director of 1st WEST Mergers & Acquisitions. In addition, he serves on five corporate boards and five non-profit boards, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona, Arizona Voice for Crime Victims, the National Organization of Victims Assistance, and Parents of Murdered Children. Jeffries is also a Fuqua Alumni Council member.

Jeffries said the rigorous expectations of Fuqua's Global Executive program challenged him on multiple levels, and prepared him for a busy and socially conscious life. For his efforts, Jeffries was honored as Volunteer of the Year by the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2007. He also received a Spirit of Philanthropy Award from the Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in 2008.

"I feel privileged to be a part of so many outstanding for-profit and non-profit organizations," Jeffries said. "It is very time consuming and rightfully demanding, however it is always rewarding to help people."
