Bob McDonald is not a person to shy away from a challenge. Recently confirmed as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, he is working to regain the public's trust in an agency which has faced tough scrutiny. McDonald started his new role with a listening tour to understand the needs of those served by the VA and says the VA must remain a "customer service organization."

Before joining the VA, McDonald served as CEO of Procter & Gamble. During his tenure at P&G, the company was widely regarded for its leadership development. In fact, Chief Executive Magazine named P&G the best company for developing talent in 2012.

McDonald also served on Fuqua's Board of Visitors from 2005-2012, and was the chair from 2011-2012.

He recently spoke to students about the qualities that define impactful leadership and elaborates in the video above.
