In today's business world, it is critical that you know how to operate effectively and efficiently in a team; therefore, we place great importance on the team experience at Fuqua.
 
You will quickly learn that "Team Fuqua" is at the core of your experience with us. There is a culture here, and we value it and talk about it. All of us — faculty, staff, and students alike — understand and embrace that our students learn as much from one another as they do from their professors.

While you are a student at Fuqua, you will work as part of a team with 4 - 6 of your classmates. You will be assigned to a team at the start of the program, your team will change mid-way through the program, and then you will choose your own team during the elective term. Your teams will be very diverse, which will, at times, create challenges, but it will also significantly enhance your learning experience and teach you valuable life lessons about how to effectively work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Sample Residency Calendar

Below are two examples of what a typical day may look like while you are in residency. Some days will be spent mostly in class, while on other days, you may spend half a day on a corporate visit. Ample time will be set aside for you to work with your teammates on collaborative projects. Cultural events will also be scattered throughout your residency.

The Cross Continent program is a blended learning format that includes both in-person and online curriculum. The Duke Learning Platform ("The Platform") is a proprietary online environment that will keep you connected to your classmates, professors, and program administrators throughout your program.
