Campus Visit Schedule

Online scheduling

Create an account on our Online Scheduling System to schedule a campus visit, an interview, and/or a class visit.

The 2009-2010 campus visit schedule and interview policy will be published by mid August. All campus visits are scheduled using Duke’s online scheduling system .* Campus visits are offered each weekday EXCEPT Wednesday, when classes are not in session.

*Please note that the online scheduling system is not connected to the online application. You will need to create a unique account for each.

Scheduling Your Campus Visit

Campus visit space is limited and fills quickly. As soon as you determine the application round in which you will apply, you may schedule your campus visit. For planning purposes, you cannot schedule your visit less than four days in advance. Once you have completed the online scheduling process, you will receive an e-mail confirmation within twenty-four hours. Please print this confirmation for your records.

Prior to scheduling your campus visit, check with airlines for possible flight arrival times to Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU). Duke University is located approximately 25 minutes from RDU. We recommend that you complete your campus activities at least two hours before your departing flight from RDU.

Information surrounding the interview policy and schedule will be published in mid August.

Optional Activities During Your Weekday Visit

The online scheduling system will enable you to indicate an interest in visiting a class, attending a Distinguished Speaker Series, tour the facilities, and lunch with current students. Class visits and Distinguished Speaker Series are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to limited space, you may only attend one class during your visit. The Distinguished Speaker Series is also limited to space and subject to change. Once you arrive on campus and have checked in with the admissions office, you may sign up for a class and/or Distinguished Speaker Series open to visitors that day. Class visits are 1 1/4 hours. Visitors must be on time for class and Distinguished Speaker Series and remain in the classroom/ auditorium until the assigned break. Please note that class visits and Distinguished Speaker Series are tentatively scheduled and not guaranteed for any visitor.

Optional Activities During your Super Saturday Visit

The online scheduling system will enable you to indicate an interest in touring the facilities and attending an informational student panel during your Saturday visit.

Interviews

Evaluative interviews are an excellent way to present a different view of your credentials to a member of the admissions committee. Members of the admissions committee, which includes admissions staff, admissions fellows (select second year students), and alumni, conduct interviews. All interviews are evaluated equally regardless of the location or interviewer. All interviews are conducted in English and typically last between 45 to 60 minutes. The interview policy and schedule will be published by mid August.

Activities for Partners

Your partner (significant other) is welcome to visit Duke with you. Please indicate in the appropriate section if your partner will accompany you. Once you have scheduled your interview, a representative of the Fuqua Partners Organization will contact your partner via e-mail with additional information for the day of your visit. Due to limited space, we kindly ask partners to refrain from attending the class visit.

Cancellations

If you are unable to visit Duke on your scheduled day and time and need to cancel or reschedule, please use our online scheduling system to modify your schedule. If you re-schedule your visit, your new date cannot be scheduled less than two days in advance.
