An Inside Look at Unilever in Russia
Unilever's products are mainstays in almost every Russian household. Recent Global Executive MBA students visited Unilever's Lipton tea factory (pictured), and heard from Fulvio Guarneri, Vice President for Marketing HPC, who focused on marketing at Unilever. Students also gained insight on working at the company. Read a press release about the event (in Russian).
On-site company visits are an ideal way to learn about a company and industry. Corporate visits are arranged during residencies as part of the curriculum to study the regional business landscape. You'll tour facilities, meet employees and managers through panel discussions, and get a sense of the type of work that is done there. You'll learn about the industry, job functions, and current business challenges from company leaders, some of whom are Fuqua alumni.
Past corporate visits have included:
- Mars in Dubai
- Tyco in China
- Rio Tinto in London
- Nokian Tyres in St. Petersburg
- Quintiles in Durham

Career Resource Network
This platform provides tools for executive career management and job searches, including samples of executive profiles, exit statements, cover letters, and resumes. Information is also available on companies, localities, relocation, professions, and more.
This database of country-specific career information gives you access to country career guides, regional city market guides, corporate profiles, employer directories, and a directory of international job listings.
Developed by the Association of Executive Search Consultants, BlueSteps offers career resources, expert advice, and a direct connection to more than 300 retained search firms in over 70 countries. This is an exclusive online database that is available to students at a nominal fee.
Glassdoor lists employee written company reviews, salary data, and in-depth interview information, such as questions asked and the length of the interview process.
Executive MBA Resume Database
Fuqua's Resume Database exposes you to recruiters and headhunters and all employers can search based on a prospective employee's desired location and work authorization. You can also post a profile, resume, and job search preferences within the database.
Fuqua's Global Regions may use the Resume Database in marketing our students to potential employers. While the outreach conducted is speculative in nature and there is no guarantee of direct contact or an opportunity, this is one mechanism for marketing our talent pipeline and establishing recruitment connection.
Online Alumni Directory
As soon as you matriculate, you may search Fuqua's database of 18,000+ alumni by program, graduation year, industry, company, job function, or geographic location. As a student, you will also have access to DukeConnect, which can connect you to alumni interested in networking and willing to support your career search. And, once you graduate, you'll have access to Duke's 148,000-person alumni database.
